SUBSTANCE: system contains a probe; a unit for controlling an ultrasonic wave made with the possibility of controlling the transmission of an ultrasonic wave and providing data of an ultrasound image of a volumetric area; an image processor and ROI identifier made with the possibility of generating identification data indicating ROI inside the volumetric area; wherein it is possible to configure the transmission of an ultrasonic wave by means of use cases in response to corresponding identifiers of the specified use cases, wherein each use case is associated with a specific imaging procedure, and it contains an anatomical model for the specified imaging procedure; and ROI identifier is made with the possibility of configuring by means of corresponding anatomical models of the specified use cases. A method for configuring such an ultrasound system is also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions will facilitate the use of such a system by less qualified users and reduce the time required to configure the system.
