SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, histology and can be used for quantitative determination of tissue collagen. Method for determining the amount of collagen in tissue involves multiple homogenisation of material obtained by freezing, lyophilic drying, milling a pre-weighed piece of tissue, followed by resuspending the material using a dispenser and centrifuging, then prepared material is frozen at -80 °C and lyophilic drying, obtained water-free material is weighed, material weight m1 is determined, material is dissolved in 900 mcl of a buffer solution with pH 7.0 and added with 100 mcl of collalisin solution, which is prepared beforehand by dissolving the contents of one ampoule of collalysin, containing collagenase in the form of lyophilizate in amount of 1.000 KE, in 2 ml of a buffer solution with pH 7.0, test tube with contents is stirred for 2 hours, three times a cycle of homogenisation, centrifugation at 13,400 rpm and resuspension of material, material is frozen at -80 °C, is lyophilically dried and weighed, material weight m2 is determined, by mass difference m1-m2 weight of collagen is determined.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for determining the amount of collagen in tissue.
