SUBSTANCE: invention relates to histology, dermatology, namely, to a method for extracting collagen fibres of the dermis. A method for extracting collagen fibres of the dermis, consisting in processing pieces of skin, fixed in formalin at a temperature of 18 to 20°C, cut with a microtome knife, with a 50% solution of potassium hydroxide for 15 hours, the material is homogenised with a jet of distilled water from a Pasteur pipette, followed by suspending, executing at least five cycles of homogenisation and centrifugation of the material at 1,500 rpm for 5 minutes, the homogenisation and centrifugation cycles are executed until the pH level of the supernatant liquid reaches 6.0, all the material is transferred to graduated test tubes, frozen at -80°C, freeze-dried, and transferred to a double-sided adhesive tape for further electron scanning examination.

EFFECT: claimant perceives the above method as reducing the material and time consumption in the process of extraction of collagen fibres of the dermis, as well as expanding the laboratory possibilities for determining collagen in the dermis.
