Method of switching the viewing angle includes: determining the current viewing angle of the display screen and obtaining the current image optical density on the gray scale for the image when the angle switching instruction is detected, wherein the instruction indicates switching of the display screen between the narrow viewing angle and the wide viewing angle; determining target optical density of the image on a gray scale based on the current viewing angle of the display screen and the optical density of the image on a gray scale, wherein the target optical density of the image on a gray scale enables to provide a screen brightness value with a switched view angle, which is equal to the screen brightness value before switching; and switching the display screen between the narrow viewing angle and the wide viewing angle, as well as setting the optical density of the image on a gray scale to the target optical density value on a gray scale.

EFFECT: high quality of displaying information when switching the viewing angle.
