FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: railway wheel consists of hub (1) with axial hole (1.1), rim (2) located concentrically to axial hole (1.1) of hub, and curved disc (3) located radially from hub (1) to rim (2) and conjugated by inner and outer surfaces with hub (1) and with rim (2) fillets (4, 5, 6, 7). Disk (3) is made with increase in thickness from the smallest thickness value Sav in its middle section to the maximum thickness values Sst and Svol at the points of disk (3) with hub (1) coupling and rim (2) located in the most stressed zones at distances Rst and Rvol relative to wheel axis O-O. Middle section of disc (3) is made with constant thickness Sav and with location of inner and outer boundaries of middle section at distances Rav.in and Rav.out relative to wheel axis making 270 mm and 316 mm.
EFFECT: technical result is increased strength of railway wheel, increased flexural rigidity of wheel in part of disc at maintaining elasticity of wheel.
