SUBSTANCE: proposed method for internal combustion engine with spark ignition includes stages, at which supply is supplied to common ignition coil (10, 20), in order to simultaneously perform the first spark event on the first ignition plug (11) connected to the first engine cylinder, and second spark event on second ignition plug (12), connected to engine second cylinder, engine is configured such that when power is supplied to a specific ignition coil, the spark event initiates combustion only in one of the first and second cylinders, and spark event in other of first and second cylinders does not initiate combustion; and selective retention of opening of inlet valve and / or fuel injection for the other of first and second cylinders to prevent back impact into engine intake manifold.
