FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to gas fire extinguishing system (1) for predefined protected area (14), in particular, to storage systems for small items storage, wherein gas fire extinguishing system (1) comprises inert gas source (2) and diffusion system (4) connected or connected to inert gas source (2) via fluid medium by pipe system (3). Diffusion system (4) comprises diffusion pipe (7) having multiple drilled holes (13) made in surface of diffusion tube (7), and pressure reducer (8) intended for diffusion pipe (7). In order to achieve no interaction with respect to diffusion system (4) in terms of design of gas fire extinguishing system (1), such a structure of diffusion system (4) is provided such that main pressure of the membrane, measured in absolute bars, at least twice higher than internal pressure of diffusion pipe (7) during filling period calculated for protected section (14), and that internal pressure of diffusion pipe (7) during the calculated filling period is maximum 2 bars in absolute units.

EFFECT: absence of interaction with respect to diffusion system in terms of system design.
