FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: field device for automation technology comprises a measuring sensor for determining a measurement signal and a measuring transducer for outputting the physical quantity of the medium in the container and/or pipe obtained using the measured signal, and/or produced on the basis of measured signal medium material property, wherein field device comprises at least, one housing for a measuring sensor and/or a measuring transducer, in which there are electronic components of a measuring sensor and/or a measuring transducer, characterized in that said electronic components are embedded in epoxy-polymer foam, which is a product of a reaction of a self-foaming filling compound containing at least, the following components: diglycidyl ether resin in amount of 25 to 75 wt. %; at least one amine-containing curing system comprising a Mannich base, at least one foaming agent, and a method of making a field device for automation technology.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of field device and method of its production, where said field device is suitable for use in a wide temperature range and is characterized by low frequency of failures under effect of temperature changes.
