DYNAMIC SWITCHING OF BANDWIDTH TO REDUCE POWER CONSUMPTION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H04W52/02

Abstract RU 2690172 C2

FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Disclosed are systems, methods, devices and data media for performing dynamic switching of bandwidth between control signals and data signals of different carrying capacity. Disclosed frame formats, in which control signals are transmitted in other bandwidths than those of data signals. Disclosed are receiver architecture for receiving alarm. Receiver can receive a relatively narrow-band control signal when consuming relatively low power, and then dynamically adjust characteristics of various components to receive a data signal at a higher bandwidth, while consuming relatively higher energy.

EFFECT: technical result is efficient multiplexing of control channels and data as available bandwidth increases.
