FIELD: hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics, namely to methods and devices for detecting marine targets by their noise emission, and more specifically to methods of determining coordinates of targets using interference maxima in autocorrelation function of target noise. Technical result is achieved by combining into a single array of all interference maxima found in autocorrelation functions, calculated on a series of successive time intervals, at which the coordinates of the target can be considered constant.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of a noisy target.
