FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Delayed coking unit has an erosion-resistant inner lining, which is resistant to thermal shock, and is intended for reduction of thermally induced mechanical stresses at the boundary of pressure in the coke drum. Inner lining represents refractory lining made from high-strength refractory material having low coefficient of thermal expansion, or high-strength refractory material having coefficient of thermal expansion close to coefficient of thermal expansion of main plate of drum.
EFFECT: lining effectively reduces or suppresses temporary thermal stress occurring at pressure boundary in coke drum, and reduces or minimizes high thermal stress caused by temperature difference in area of shell connection with support belt.
