FIELD: petroleum industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and system for producing coke. The method includes the following stages: heavy pitch is heated to the initial coking temperature in the range from 500°F to 750°F, resulting in heated raw material of the coking unit, the heated raw material of the coking unit is then supplied into a coke drum, additionally heated on site, in the coke drum, to the coking temperature by direct heat exchange, and the heated raw materials of the coking unit is subjected to thermal cracking in the coke drum for the purpose of cracking part of the heavy pitch, forming a steam cracking product and a coke product. The method includes the following stages: heavy pitch is heated to the initial coking temperature in the range from 500°F to 750°F, resulting in heated raw material of the coking unit, the heated raw material of the coking plant is then mixed with an superheating medium, then the mixture is supplied into a coke drum and heated on site, in the coke drum, by direct heat exchange with the superheating medium. The mixture is subjected to thermal cracking in the coke drum for the purpose of cracking part of the heavy pitch, forming a steam cracking product and a coke product. The system comprises: a heater for heating heavy pitch to the initial coking temperature in the range from 500°F to 750°F, resulting in heated raw material of the coking unit, a pipeline for supplying the heated raw material of the coking unit into the coke drum, a heater for heating the superheating medium resulting in heated superheating medium, a pipeline for supplying the heated superheating medium to heat the heated raw material of the coking unit on site, in the coke drum, by direct heat exchange with the superheating medium, and a pipeline for discharging the steam cracking product from the coke drum.
EFFECT: prevention of fast coking of pipes of the heater and significant increase in the duration of the working cycle of the heater and the unit, as well as increase in the output of liquid and reduction in the requirements for the supporting tools of the unit.
