FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to turbostratic graphite and carbon particle, which is a mixture of turbostratic graphite and diamond, which can be used as tools, anti-wear additives, lubricants, grinding stones, metal coating or coating, fibrous materials, polymer coatings, drug delivery systems, shells of electronic devices, materials of electrodes of accumulators, conducting films, catalysts, adsorbents. Turbostratic graphite contains graphite fragments which, when viewed in a scanning electron microscope, have layers with interplanar distance of 0.2–1 nm and size of 1.5–10 nm in direction perpendicular to direction of layers, wherein direction of layers of graphite fragments is disordered. Carbon particle, which is a mixture of said turbostratic graphite and diamond, is obtained by a detonation method, comprising a step of placing explosive substance A with a detonation speed of 6,300 m/s or higher on the periphery of raw material substance A, containing an aromatic compound with two or less nitro groups, and a detonation stage of explosive substance A; or a step for placing explosive B, which is liquid at normal temperature and normal pressure, on the periphery of feedstock B containing an aromatic compound with three or more nitro groups and a detonation stage of explosive B; wherein the ratio G/D of the mass G of the turbostratic graphite to the diamond weight D in the carbon particle ranges from 0.7 to 20.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a promising material with multiple functional properties using low-energy and low-cost explosives.
