FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coated particle formed by coating a surface of a particle of main material with carbon particles obtained by detonation. Coated particles are obtained by placing an explosive, which exhibits a liquid state at normal temperature and normal pressure, on the periphery of the starting material containing an aromatic compound with three or more nitro groups, detonation of said explosive to obtain carbon particles and use of mechanical shearing/impact action to mixture of powders of obtained carbon particles and particles of main material to coat surface of particle of main material by said carbon particles having smaller particle sizes.
EFFECT: invention enables to efficiently produce carbon particles by detonation using low-power explosive material, wherein deposition of the obtained carbon particles on the surface of the substrate material enables to obtain a novel material with improved wear resistance.
