FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: explosive with a detonation velocity of 6300 m/s or more is placed on the periphery of the starting material containing an aromatic compound with not more than two nitro groups, for example, dinitrotoluene, dinitrobenzene, or dinitroxylol. The explosive is detonated. The resulting carbon particles have a mass ratio of G/D 2.5 or more, where G is the carbon mass in the form of graphite, and D is the mass of the diamond.
EFFECT: producing carbon particles containing nanographite and diamond, using a non-powdery, cheap and affordable starting material.
