FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Disclosed is a method for simulating the curvature of a double-layer graft with a villous surface for treating progressive myopia. Graft consisting of rectangular flap with rounded edges sized 20×10×0.6 mm, made of knitted medical cloth with thickness of 0.32 mm with pile surface with pile height of 0.28 mm, in combination with xenopericardial plate with thickness of 0.28 mm is placed between puncheon and matrix made of neutral heat-resistant material with radius of curvature corresponding to curvature of sclera of myopic eye both in frontal and sagittal planes, and tightly compressed. Then the puncheon with matrix and transplant is placed in solution of glutaric aldehyde at temperature 38–40 °C for 10 days and more for formation of transplant congruent to sclera surface of myopic eye.
EFFECT: using the given invention enables the transplant to uniformly grow in all points of adherence to the sclera, intensifying the stabilizing effect of scleroplasty with progressing nearsightedness by forming a uniform fibrovascular scar.
