FIELD: monitoring systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for remote monitoring of metal scrap in moving railway cars. Device for controlling scrap metal contamination in moving railway low-sided cars includes a processing and control unit, temperature measuring means, a video camera, measuring zone made in form of U-shaped frame from insulating material, along perimeter of which measuring coil and power coil are wound, magneto-resistive sensors, fixed on inner lateral surfaces of the frame on both sides to the entire height of the low-sided car, which outputs through the switch are connected to the server, laser sensors, one of which is installed in the center of the inner side of the shelter, the second one – on the inner side surface of the frame, outputs of sensors through the switch are connected to the server, processing and control unit consisting of installed in it processor with monitor, cabinets with equipment, in which eliminated alternator, switch and server.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining scrap metal contamination of railway cars and other containers.
