SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a swirler intended for use in a combustion system of a gas turbine engine (10), comprising a plurality of radially inwardly extending channels circumferentially spaced in a staggered manner, wherein every channel has radially outer inlet end, radially inner outlet end, first and second side surfaces extending mainly radially inward, base surface and top surface. Thus, during operation of swirler, fuel and air move along channels from their inlet ends to their outlet ends so that swirling fuel-air mixture is created near outlet ends, wherein at least one surface of at least one channel comprises at least one hole for injecting gaseous fuel. Also, surface of swirler, having hole for injection of gaseous fuel, contains at least one blind hole radially surrounding hole for injection of gaseous fuel, and hole for injection of gaseous fuel is located in base of blind hole.

EFFECT: disclosed is a swirler.
