FIELD: chemistry; oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in the fact that from devices for extinguishing from above reservoir on its inner wall simultaneously and synchronously several jets of fire extinguishing foam are fed horizontally along wall of reservoir in one side with pressure, providing formation near wall of reservoir of circular layer of fire extinguishing foam, wherein several jets of fire extinguishing foam form corresponding number of foam rings on surface of burning liquid due to change of rotation angle of extinguishing devices for each jet, number of jets of fire extinguishing foam corresponds to the number of extinguishing devices, radiuses of rings are continuously reduced to their complete reduction in the centre of the reservoir; at that, the whole process of fire extinguishing is divided into several stages. Apparatus for implementing the extinguishing method comprises firewater monitor 1 on post 4 with flange 3, inlet and outlet branch pipes 2, 5, which are connected by hinge joint 7. Hydraulic drive introduced into device for replacement of fire and explosive electric drive, bracket 10 is fixed on rack 4 of firewater monitor 1, comprises main cylinder 11 with piston 12, controlling retractable rod 13 with rack, central supply tube 14 made with holes 15 in its wall and communicating with foaming agent foaming solution supply channel 16. Toothed sector 8 is connected to outlet branch pipe 5 of firewater monitor 1, there is nozzle 9 for extraction of foaming solution at inlet branch pipe 2 of firewater monitor 1, and number of holes in wall of supply tube 14 is equal to K - 1, where K is number of stages of extinguishing.
EFFECT: method is proposed to eliminate accidents occurring on reservoirs with capacity from 5 to 260 thousand m3 with flammable liquids and flammable liquids, result of which is fire of combustible liquids.
