FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of internal combustion engine. Disclosed is a method of controlling an internal combustion engine, which includes a fuel injection valve having a plurality of injection holes and configured to directly inject fuel into the cylinder, and an ignition plug configured to generate the spark plug discharge channel, after the fuel is injected, the spark ignition is performed while generating turbulence in the air flow by means of the fuel injection by the ignition plug, arranged such that discharge area is located in the middle between fuel jets injected from two adjacent injection holes and located within range, in which turbulence in air flow is formed. Also, it is determined whether combustion is stable and if combustion is not stable, fuel injection pressure is increased.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of flammability in internal combustion engine with direct injection into cylinders.
