SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of an internal combustion engine with spark ignition for direct injection of fuel into a cylinder. Engine control device with spark ignition and direct injection into cylinders is proposed, which includes a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into the cylinder and a spark plug for igniting the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder and configured to inject fuel during expansion and to ignite the fuel after injection during expansion in a specific operating condition. Internal combustion engine control device reduces the interval between the fuel injection timing during the expansion and the ignition timing when the ignition timing becomes late.
EFFECT: technical result consist in ensuring early activation of the waste gas purification catalyst while ensuring combustion stability.
