FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: use: to measure object inner volume. Summary of invention consists in the fact that measurement of inner volume of nonmetallic object containing metal elements involves the following operations: inner volume of object is filled with multiple use filler, object is contactlessly scanned using computer tomography, scanning results are used for automated construction of three-dimensional model of internal volume of object, internal volume of object is measured using computer processing of obtained three-dimensional model, wherein X-ray density of filler is different from X-ray density of object and quartz sand is used as filler to avoid artifacts from metal elements on image of object.
EFFECT: measurement of inner volume of an object, which provides automated production of three-dimensional model of inner volume of object, including with open contour of inner volume, and minimizing effect of artefacts at measurement, first of all, of nonmetallic object.
