FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray computed tomography. Disclosed is a method for measuring linear dimensions of metal parts, including contactless scanning of the analysed metal part using an X-ray computer tomograph, reconstruction of the three-dimensional model of the part using the scanning results and determining the linear dimensions of the part using the computer processing of the obtained three-dimensional model, at that, before scanning, on the surface of the analysed part, at least one control sample is placed, made from the material of the part and having a thickness which varies discretely or smoothly, wherein thickness of the measured part of the part is included in the range of varying thickness of the control sample, and the length of the control sample is not more than 10% of the maximum length of the analysed part.

EFFECT: high accuracy and information value of non-destructive testing of parts, including complex-shape parts and obtained using additive manufacturing technology, due to the possibility of evaluating the entire dimensional spectrum in any section of the part.
