FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of gas energy, in particular, to measurement of energy of hydrogen-rich gases. Method of determining power consumption of a hydrogen-rich gas mixture using a gas density meter comprises steps of: providing a vibration gas density meter; providing measurement electronic equipment with gas density meter, configured to communicate with at least one external input device; density of hydrogen-rich gas mixture is measured; specific density of the hydrogen-rich gas mixture is measured and the calorific value of the hydrogen-rich gas mixture is obtained using the measured specific density and a plurality of constant values.
EFFECT: providing fast and accurate measurements of the calorific value and Wobbe index of the gas-rich gas mixture.
