SUBSTANCE: invention relates to finance and specifically to a method and device for adaptive recognition of a security document. Method for adaptive recognition of a secure document comprises steps of capturing a collection parameter and collecting, based on a collection parameter, a photoelectric signal of the security document, capturing the photoelectric signal correction value and performing, based on the photoelectric signal correction value, digital compensation on a photoelectric signal, followed by extraction of features from a photoelectric signal subjected to digital compensation, to obtain a feature vector. Then, the feature vector is introduced into a predetermined classifier for recognition to obtain a result of recognition of the protected document, wherein a specific area on the protected document is captured based on the recognition result. Further, information on features of the photoelectric signal of the protected document is captured on the basis of a specific area and, based on the feature information, an accumulation component and a differential error of the protected document are calculated. Method then includes calculating, based on accumulation component and differential error, the total correction value of photoelectric signal and updating, based on the total correction value, the photoelectric signal correction value and the collection parameter, after which the recognition result is output.
EFFECT: self-adaptive identification method and device for identifying a security document are configured to solve problems of systematic accumulated error and early correction.
