SUBSTANCE: device determines current and voltage on terminals of a storage battery; uses their values to assess the values on terminals of the storage battery based on a pre-determined accumulator model; and identifies subsequently the accumulator model parameter so that difference between the value based on the value of voltage measurement on terminals and the assessed value of voltage on terminals converges to zero. When one particular parameter of identified parameters is equal to or exceeds the first pre-determined threshold value, then upper-bound constraint is performed so that the value of a certain parameter is set equal to the first threshold value.

EFFECT: improvement of assessment of accumulator state.
