FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric measuring equipment, namely to devices for control of insulation resistance of AC mains under operating voltage. Measuring capacitor is connected by means of switches to the measured circuit. Initial value of measuring capacitor charge is measured in initial state. Then, it is charged by an independent voltage source and the actual capacity of the capacitor is calculated from the parameters of the transient process. Further parameters of transient process of capacitor discharge are measured for resistance of circuit insulation, value of resistance of circuit insulation is calculated.

EFFECT: high accuracy and safety of the measurement process owing to preliminary determination of the capacitance of the measuring capacitor and separation of the monitored and measuring circuits.
