FIELD: thermometry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermometry and can be used to measure the temperature of a medium or objects. The method for temperature measurement consists in powering a resistance thermometer connected by a two-wire line, shunted by a capacitor directly on its connecting contacts, with voltage pulses through a reference resistor with a duty cycle at which the average current through the resistance thermometer does not exceed the permissible value. In this case, the voltage at the input of the two-wire line is integrated from the moment the voltage pulse is completed and the integral value is measured at time t1 and at the end of the transient discharge of the shunt capacitor. The resistance of the resistance thermometer is calculated from the measured voltage values, the duration of the t1 interval and the voltage drop on the reference resistor measured in a steady state at the end of the voltage pulse, and the temperature value is determined by the calibration characteristic of the resistance thermometer.
EFFECT: reduction in the temperature measurement error caused by the resistance of a two-wire line, interference and noise of quantization of analog-to-digital conversion during digital integration of the voltage at the input of a two-wire line.
