FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a protective casing for a radiation source apparatus and a safety monitoring device. Device comprises a housing equipped with a receiving chamber for accommodating a radiation source apparatus, an end face and an outlet for rays, through which beams generated by radiation source apparatus are emitted; end cover closing the housing end hole and equipped with sealed chamber, which communicates with receiving chamber; connecting element located between the end cover and the housing and equipped with a hole providing the communication of the tight chamber of the end cover with the receiving chamber of the housing. By means of connecting element end cap is movably connected to housing so that distance between end cover and end hole of housing can be adjusted.
EFFECT: possibility of effectively shielding unused beams generated by a source apparatus for radioactive radiation, which enables to prevent damage to the human body and does not cause damage to the source apparatus of radioactive radiation.
