FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: neutron capture therapy system has been proposed in which space can be efficiently used and multiple patients can be treated simultaneously, and the beam transmission path cannot be excessively increased to ensure small losses. The neutron capture therapy system has an accelerator, a beam transfer device and a neutron beam generation device, and the accelerator is configured to accelerate charged particles to generate a beam of charged particles, the beam transfer device is configured to transfer the charged particle beam generated by the accelerator to the neutron beam generation device, and the device for generating a neutron beam is configured to generate a therapeutic neutron beam. The neutron beam generating device further has a first neutron beam generating device, a second neutron beam generating device, and a third neutron beam generating device. The beam transfer device additionally has a first transfer device connected to the accelerator, a beam direction conversion device configured to switch the direction of movement of the beam of charged particles, and a second transfer device, a third transfer device and a fourth transfer device, respectively transmitting the charged particle beam from the beam direction conversion device into the first neutron beam generating device, the second neutron beam generating device and the third neutron beam generating device, wherein two of the first transfer device, the third transfer device and the fourth transfer device define the first plane, the first transfer device and the second transfer device define the second plane, the first plane being different from the second plane.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will allow the treatment of many patients, and the beam transmission path cannot be excessively increased to ensure small losses.
