FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: neutron capture therapy system comprises a charged particle beam generation unit, a beam transfer unit and a neutron beam generation unit; charged particle beam generation unit comprises an ion source and an accelerator, wherein the accelerator accelerates the charged particles generated by the ion source to obtain a beam of charged particles of the required energy; neutron beam generation unit comprises a target, a beam-forming body and a collimator, beam of charged particles generated by the accelerator is emitted to the target by means of the beam transfer unit and acts on the target to generate neutrons, and the generated neutrons successively pass through the beam forming body and the collimator to form a neutron beam for therapy; wherein the neutron capture therapy system is built into a building made of concrete, and comprises an irradiation room, an accelerator chamber and a beam transfer chamber, wherein the neutron beam generation unit is at least partially arranged in the irradiation chamber and the beam transfer chamber.
EFFECT: use of this invention enables safe and reliable treatment.
