FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method of adjusting the gap between drum shears blades for cutting a metal strip. Drum shears comprise two knife drums for transverse cutting of metal strip, having an axially displaceable and tangentially displaceable blade with at least one flat surface, a clamping device, two wedges arranged in axial direction, adjustment rod, grip and mechanical connection, a permutation device and a control device.
EFFECT: providing the gap between blades automatically without additional preparation time during production operation of drum shears.
