FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical manipulators intended for operation in isolated chambers with radioactive substances and excluding direct contact with a person with these substances. Sword manipulator comprises actuating element formed by movable bar and grip, ball bearing, driving installed in wall of chamber, sealing bellows and control handle. At that, movable rod is passed through ball bearing and is connected to control handle. Ball bearing is made in the form of two hemispherical elements installed in sockets on inner and outer sides of sinking and built into inner race of bearings. At the same time outer race of bearings are connected with driving by means of elastic tie-rods, and grip is connected to movable bar by multiple-link hinged parallelogram. Elastic elements are made in form of springs.
EFFECT: invention provides higher degree of biological protection due to increased tightness.
