FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to friction articles made from polymer composite materials. Friction article comprises polymer composite friction element made from polymer composite. Polymer matrix of the composite contains rubber vulcanisate, as well as disperse fillers. Particles made of phenol-formaldehyde resin resite, which do not contain fillers, are added to the polymer matrix of the composite of the friction element.
EFFECT: enabling reduction of cracking of polymer matrix of friction element composite at thermomechanical effects.
