FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to friction articles made from polymer composite materials. Friction article comprises polymer composite friction element made from polymer composite. Polymer matrix of the composite contains rubber vulcanizate and phenol-formaldehyde resin resit, as well as disperse fillers. Particles made of phenol-formaldehyde resins resits, which do not contain fillers, are added to the polymer matrix of the composite of the friction element.
EFFECT: reduced probability of crack formation of polymer matrix of composite of friction element at thermomechanical effects.
