FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway vehicles, in particular to brake pads, working in friction with the rolling surface of the wheel. Brake shoe includes a metal frame and a polymer composite friction element. Composite contains dispersed particles of low-silicon ferrosilicon, high-silicon ferrosilicon, and silicomanganese.
EFFECT: improvement in the performance characteristics of the pad is achieved by increasing the effectiveness of the “wheel-saving” impact of the pad on the rolling surface of the wheel during tri-coupling.
