FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of fighting an unpaired silkworm (Lymantria dispar), including the use of an insecticide based on an antisense DNA fragment selectively acting on insect larvae of a certain species, where contact spray treatment of insect tracks is carried out with an aqueous solution of a short 11 nucleotides antisense DNA fragment length of the 5.8S gene of ribosomal RNA of an unpaired silkworm with a sequence of 5'-TGCGTTGAAA-3' at a concentration of 200 pmol/mcl so that a caterpillar of the I-II age should contain at least 0.3 mcl of the solution.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the mortality of larvae of an unpaired silkworm (Lymantria dispar).
