In some embodiments, dosage cartridges containing at least one herbal substance which have a heating element built into the cartridge in direct contact with the herbal substance are described. In some embodiments, doses contained in cartridges are stored in an accumulator, optionally in the form of a carousel, prior to use.

EFFECT: transportation of cartridge from accumulator to evaporating chamber with electric drive, which actuates heating element, is provided with mechanical gripping devices.
