FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a cartridge with a starting material for delivering an active substance by inhalation. Cartridge contains an elongated body containing sections located along the long axis of the said body. Each of the sections contains a starting material containing an active substance capable of being released from the starting material during evaporation. Initial material is intended to provide a through air flow. Initial material in each of the sections is protected by an airtight sealant. Cartridge has a drive installed in a sliding manner on the elongated body. Drive is made with possibility of sliding along part of long axis of said housing between areas of selected sections. Actuator is made with possibility of local opening of sealant of selected sections to provide air flow through initial material for delivery of specified active substance to user. Drive is additionally designed to pass electric current through the heating element of each of the selected sections.
EFFECT: delivery of an active substance for a number of delivery events, in which a controlled portion of the starting material is heated independently of other portions of the starting material.
