CARTRIDGE UNIT CONNECTOR Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61M15/00

Abstract RU 2817035 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a cartridge for use with an inhaler, a method for extracting a unit of a starting material from a cartridge configured to be used with an inhaler and a kit comprising a cartridge and an inhaler. Cartridge comprises: a housing containing blocks of source material; and a unit connector contained in the cartridge. Connecting element of the block is made with possibility of selective connection with each of blocks of initial material. Connecting element of the unit is located and made with possibility of being removed from the housing with the attached unit of initial material. Connecting element of the block and each of the blocks of the initial material are formed with a geometry for connection, in which the protrusion of one enters into the corresponding slot of the other. Cartridge body has a geometry defining two paths of movement: a first path in which the blocks of the starting material are made with possibility of sliding past the connecting element of the block; and the second path, in which the block of initial material, which was connected to the connecting element of the block on the first path, is made with possibility of movement together with the connecting element of the block along the second path. First path is configured to rotate the blocks of the starting material relative to the connecting element of the block; and wherein the second path is made with possibility of combined linear movement of the connected connecting element of the block and the block of initial material. Method comprises loading into the inhaler a cartridge containing the blocks of the starting material and the connecting element of the block contained within the cartridge, connecting the cartridge to the inhaler, simultaneously engaging the connecting element of the unit in preparation for pushing the attached unit of the starting material from the cartridge into the position for use inside the inhaler. One of the connecting elements of the unit in the presented cartridge is connected to the unit of the starting material before said loading into the inhaler, and connection of unit of initial material with connecting element of unit is carried out simultaneously with connection of cartridge with inhaler. Kit contains a cartridge and an inhaler.

EFFECT: presenting the cartridge for use with the inhaler such that when the cartridge is operably attached to the inhaler, manipulation of the connecting element of the unit moves the attached unit of the starting material from the cartridge or back into the cartridge; wherein the connecting element of the block and each of the blocks of the initial material are formed with a geometry for attachment, in which the protrusion of one enters into the corresponding slot of the other.
