FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method, which is carried out by subscriber device (310) (UE) in standby mode, to determine a common search space (CSS) for paging NB-IoT, comprises a step of determining a set of periodic subframes as a subframes structure of a paging event (PO), which tracks an initial paging CSS subframe for a temporary radio access network identifier (RNTI). Initial subframe of the paging CSS is determined as follows: the first subframe (SF0) defined by the subframes structure of a paging event and is used when SF0 is defined as a valid downlink subframe. Next actual downlink subframe after SF0 is used when SF0 is defined as an invalid subframe of the downlink.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling paging of UE.
