FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering and can be used in control and guidance systems of unmanned aerial vehicles: guided missiles, corrected aerial bombs and other air-to-surface devices. According to the method aiming point selection is performed in automatic mode in onboard data processing unit. This is carried out using an a priori database consisting of a situational database containing information on possible situations occurring during flight, an information database containing reference information on the scene of combat operations and objects, and an algorithmic data base containing data processing algorithms from the on-board optoelectronic system and necessary control actions for the aiming point selection. Information coming from the unmanned aerial optoelectronic system is transmitted to the on-board data processing unit, where it is converted using data processing algorithms. By comparing with the information contained in the situational and information databases, a control action is initiated to select the aiming point based on the algorithmic data base.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of control and guidance.
