SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to applying makeup on keratin materials. Composition for applying makeup on keratin materials comprises a non-aqueous medium containing at least one oil on a hydrocarbon base; particles of surface-stabilized polymer, which is homopolymer C₁-C₄ alkyl(meth)acrylate or copolymer C₁-C₄ alkyl(meth)acrylates, which contains an acid monomer with ethylenically unsaturated bonds or an anhydride thereof, selected from (meth)acrylic acid, maleic acid and maleic anhydride; stabilizer is a homopolymer of isobornyl(meth)acrylate or random copolymer of isobornyl(meth)acrylate and C₁-C₄ alkyl(meth)acrylate, present in weight ratio of isobornyl(meth)acrylate / C₁-C₄ alkyl(meth)acrylate is more than 4; where said particles and stabilizer are contained in dispersion; and a hydrophobic film-forming polymer selected from ethylene block copolymers and hydrocarbon-based resins and mixtures thereof. Also disclosed are a cosmetic method of applying makeup on keratin materials and using a dispersion of particles to produce a mascara composition or eyeliner.
