SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an energy-absorbing assembly for a motor vehicle, versions of a motor vehicle, a radiator facing assembly of a motor vehicle and a method of transferring a portion of energy of a frontal impact to a radiator lining assembly. Energy absorbing assembly comprises first deformable energy absorbing component and at least one deformable second energy absorbing component associated with motor vehicle radiator facing assembly. First energy absorbing component forms at least one receiving means for engaging corresponding part of at least one second energy absorbing component, whereby receiving means and mating surface remain engaged when receiving an impact. First energy absorbing component is supported on bumper assembly or attached to engine assembly facing assembly, and the second energy absorbing component is included in the retaining component of the radiator lining of the motor vehicle radiator facing assembly.
