FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used during knee endoprosthesis replacement. In total endoprosthesis replacement of the knee joint under the control of the electro-optical transducer, the center of the femoral head is marked with a disposable self-adhesive electrode. During operation, in distal femoral incision, a distal resection block is applied to hip condyles, aligning the extramedullary part of the navigation system with the electrode.
EFFECT: method provides correct positioning of femoral component during knee joint endoprosthesis replacement and reduction of operation time due to marking of femoral head center with disposable self-adhesive electrode.
