SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to tyraumatology and ortopedics and can be used for treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis with fixed valgus and stable flexion contracture of knee joint. Total endoprosthetics of knee joint is performed with minimal, corresponding to thickness of endoprosthesis thigh component, resection of distal end of tibia. Subperiostally lateral and medial heads of gastrocnemius muscle are separated from posterior thigh surface and iliotibial tract from lateral condyle of tibia. 10-12 cm above the level of joint space of knee joint from additional cut on outer thigh surface full dissection of iliotibial tract is performed.

EFFECT: method allows to eliminate fixed valgus deformation and stable flexion contracture of knee joint completely with restoration of function and supporting ability of lower extremity, preserve normal anatomical level of joint space, and to eliminate imagement of patella with tibial endoprosthesis component, completely eliminate pain syndrome and restore length of lower extremity, create sufficient reserve of bone tissue for probable further surgical interventions on knee joint obtain equal values of flexion and extension intervals and symmetry of joint space height in external and internal parts with restoration of biomechanical axis of extremity, which ensures knee joint stability and even distribution of static loading on joint, and therefore, long endoprosthesis functioning.
