FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and chemical engineering and can be used as a locking device on pipelines transporting oil or industrial water, as well as for shutting off channels of wellhead valves of fountains, pumping and injection wells during industrial oil production. Gate valve has a housing consisting of two interconnected half-housing, each half-housing comprises a branch pipe with an internal flange and a seat, branch pipe is installed in inner flange to depth of support surface by means of threaded connection, on facing to each other surfaces of internal flanges there are grooves forming cavity, in which, with possibility of rotation in its plane, there arranged is gate and gear rim interacting with drive shaft. Inside flange there is a pin fixing inner flange. Each half-housing contains external flange connected with branch pipe by means of threaded connection. Seat is installed in internal flange, on butt end of branch pipe and contacts with gate via sliding bearing. Half-housing can be connected by coupling nut or pins installed in holes made in internal flanges. Seal is arranged between branch pipe end and inner flange in annular groove. Annular groove is made in branch pipe end or in internal flange.

EFFECT: reduction of metal consumption of a slide gate valve and reduction of its size; besides, its manufacturing is simplified.
