FIELD: nanotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of silicon-carbon-containing nanostructures from technogenic wastes and can be used for extraction of nano-sized particles of silicon dioxide and carbon from gas-cleaning slurries of electrothermal production of silicon by flotation. Method comprises preparation of a waste suspension, aerating the obtained suspension, separating the foam and chamber products, wherein flotation is carried out using recycled water, which is extracted from chamber product after introduction of polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride at concentration which provides its complete adsorption with silicon dioxide in process cycle conditions with complete coagulation and deposition of fine particles of silicon dioxide in chamber product when producing recycled water.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to extract nano-sized particles of silicon dioxide and carbon from sludge of gas cleaning of electrothermal production of silicon while reducing costs for flotation process and losses of silicon dioxide due to use of recycled water.
