FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a cartridge that is removably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, a method for assembling a transmission device of a drive for a photosensitive drum and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. Disclosed gear assembly comprises: (i) a gear including a holding portion in the inner space of said gear, (ii) a connecting member including: (ii-i) a free end portion having at least one protrusion, (ii-ii) connecting part, which is connected to said gear and at least part of which is located in said containing part, so that rotation axis of said connecting element is able to incline relative to axis of rotation of said gear, and (ii-iii) a through hole extending through said connecting portion and (iii) a shaft configured to receive a rotary force from said connecting member and pass through said through hole, and supported by said gear on opposite ends of said shaft, to enable said connection element to incline relative to said shaft.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing drive transmission structure for cartridge, which can be extracted outside from main unit of device, not equipped with mechanism for movement of engagement part of main assembly side in direction of proper axis of rotation, after moving in a predetermined direction substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the rotating member, such as an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, in which the disengagement of the connecting member is prevented without limiting the angle of inclination (rotation) of the connecting member by the inner edge of the open portion provided in the flange, and also in providing a cartridge using the drive transmission structure.
