FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a cartridge that is removably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, a method for assembling a transmission device of a drive for a photosensitive drum and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. Disclosed is a cartridge, installed with possibility of extraction into the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming device, including the rotating engaging part of the main assembly side, wherein said cartridge is configured to be withdrawn from said main device assembly after moving in a predetermined direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the engaging portion of the main assembly side, wherein said cartridge comprises: (i) a rotating member which carries the developer with rotation, (ii) a rotary member which senses the transmitted rotational force, which in its inner space includes accommodating part and on which rotary force is transmitted, intended for transmission to rotary element, (iii) a rotatable connecting member including (iii-i) a free end portion having a rotary force receiving portion configured to receive a rotary force from the main assembly side engaging portion, (iii-ii) connecting part, which is connected to said element, which receives transmitted rotational force, and at least part, which is located in said containing part, so that axis of rotation of said connecting element is able to be inclined relative to rotation axis of said element, which receives transmitted rotational force, to enable disengagement of said part receiving the rotary force with the engaging portion of the main assembly side when moving said cartridge in a predetermined direction, (iii-iii) through hole extending through said connecting portion, (iv) a shaft portion which is capable of receiving a rotary force from said connecting member and pass through said through hole and is supported by said element receiving the transmitted rotational force, on its opposite end parts along with possibility of inclination of said connecting element relative to gross part.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing drive transmission structure for cartridge, which can be extracted outside from main unit of device, not equipped with mechanism for movement of engagement part of main assembly side in direction of proper axis of rotation, after moving in a predetermined direction substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the rotating member, such as an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, in which the disengagement of the connecting member is prevented without limiting the angle of inclination (rotation) of the connecting member by the inner edge of the open portion provided in the flange, and also in providing a cartridge using the drive transmission structure.
